Monster-taming fans have a new obsession to dive into. Canadian indie studio Hatchery Games has officially launched Voidling Bound on Steam and the Epic Games Store, following an impressive build-up that saw the game approach 400,000 wishlists before release.
Often described as a wild mix of Spore and Warframe, Voidling Bound blends fast-paced third-person shooter combat with deep creature evolution systems. Players step into the role of a Space Wrangler, bonding with powerful creatures known as Voidlings and customizing them through branching evolution paths, DNA splicing, breeding, and genetic experimentation.
Set in a sci-fi universe threatened by a devastating parasite, players must evolve their Voidlings into powerful allies capable of reclaiming corrupted worlds. Along the way, they’ll rescue eggs, hatch rare specimens, unlock unique abilities, and create powerful genetic combinations that dramatically change how each creature plays.
Beyond the campaign, players looking for a serious challenge can test their creations in The Abyss, an endless progression mode packed with increasingly dangerous enemies and bigger rewards the deeper they venture.
With dozens of customization options, handcrafted planets to explore, and a deep progression system centered around creature evolution, Voidling Bound is aiming to deliver a fresh twist on both monster-taming and action RPG genres.
A console release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 is planned for a later date. For now, PC players can start building their ultimate Voidling army today.
