BULKHEAD and publisher Team17 have announced that WARDOGS Season 3 launches November 12 on Steam, bringing a fresh urban map and several important changes to the game’s progression and competitive experience.
The new season puts players in a close-quarters urban environment, offering an entirely different battlefield to explore and master. A season wipe will reset progression, while adjustments to the leveling system aim to bring back the more rewarding pace of the game’s first season.
One of the biggest additions is Limited Mode, an alternative playlist designed to keep combat on a more even playing field. Restrictions will include FMJ-only ammunition, a Tier 2 armor cap, and a reduced selection of attack vehicles. Players will still be able to carry their cash and XP between Limited Mode and the standard experience.
BULKHEAD is also moving to a three-month seasonal schedule, giving players more time to progress and the development team additional breathing room to prepare future content.
A Major Crackdown on Cheating
Beyond the new content, BULKHEAD is making a serious push to clean up the battlefield. After analyzing more than 187 million hours of gameplay with machine learning assistance, the studio is activating additional layers of anti-cheat protection.
The crackdown includes action against exploiters, real-money trading, and gold-farming networks, with 185,000 accounts affected by a major ban wave. The studio has also issued permanent bans and revoked server-hosting privileges.
Further protections, including a player trust score system, are planned for 2027.
With nearly four million unique players since launch, WARDOGS is approaching a major milestone as BULKHEAD continues working toward its full 1.0 release.
Season 3 looks like an important step in that journey, combining a new battlefield with meaningful improvements to progression, stability, and fair play.
