Mark your calendars: Dustborn is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S/X, and Xbox One on August 20, 2024. The highly anticipated release date was unveiled today during the Future Games Show – Spring Edition, alongside a brand-new trailer featuring exclusive game footage.

In this single-player, story-driven action-adventure game, players will embark on a mysterious road trip to transport a crucial package from Pacifica to Nova Scotia. Disguised as a punk-rock band, protagonist Pax and her eclectic crew navigate the breathtaking Neo-Western landscapes of an alternate America. Along the way, they’ll make pit stops to recruit new members, build relationships, tackle unexpected assignments, and fend off relentless pursuers.

Dustborn delves into the power of words through its main character, Pax, an Anomal with the unique ability to weaponize language. By crafting new words, Pax can defuse tense situations, neutralize threats, and influence her surroundings, including her diverse and often clashing crew. Managing and building relationships with this group of misfits, each boasting their own compelling backstories, will require Pax to skillfully leverage her verbal abilities.

For those eager to dive deeper into the world of Dustborn, the Gameplay Overview, aired during the Future Games Show post-show, is now available. This vibrant and perilous journey through a dystopian America promises players a series of unexpected scenarios as varied as the landscapes they’ll traverse. The road trip is packed with challenges, including investigations, puzzles that require the crew’s unique powers, action-packed combats using weaponized words, and live musical performances from The Dustborns, the crew’s rock band. Players will find themselves throwing Molotov cocktails from motorbikes, swinging baseball bats at helicopters, and much more. Just your average everyday road trip, right?

Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches and prepare to embark on this thrilling adventure.
