Apple has unwrapped an exciting holiday treat for fans of the multi-Emmy Award-winning Carpool Karaoke: The Series. The tech giant has announced A Carpool Karaoke Christmas, a festive special now streaming on Apple TV+ and Apple Music. Featuring a star-studded lineup that includes Grammy-winning icons Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa, along with Grammy-nominated rising star Chappell Roan, the special promises a holiday-themed caroling adventure with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in the driver’s seat.
Taking the wheel from creator and executive producer James Corden, Lowe leads this celebratory installment, blending Christmas classics like “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and Wham!’s “Last Christmas” with the artists’ signature hits. Highlights include Lady Gaga performing her chart-topping “Die With A Smile,” Dua Lipa singing her global smash “Houdini,” and Chappell Roan showcasing her breakout single “Good Luck, Babe!” Adding to the holiday cheer, Lady Gaga and Lowe debuted a special rendition of “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” now available on Apple Music and other major music platforms.
“I’m delighted Carpool Karaoke is back to celebrate the holidays in true style,” said Corden. “I’ve entrusted Apple Music’s very own, the brilliant Zane Lowe, to drive our superstars to work—and reminded him to keep his eyes open while singing. We can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
For Lowe, stepping into the role was an exhilarating experience. “This was hands-down the most fun I have ever had in a car,” he shared. “I’m very grateful to James for trusting me with the keys to a very expensive car and three of music’s most exciting artists. I’m honored to be part of bringing this special A Carpool Karaoke Christmas to fans all over the world.”
The special is now streaming in select territories and will roll out globally on December 20, offering fans a heartwarming way to connect with their favorite artists. The episode is a seasonal celebration of Carpool Karaoke: The Series, which has cemented its place as a cultural phenomenon, winning five consecutive Emmys alongside Producers Guild and Writers Guild awards.
