Winter is coming to Speranza. On Tuesday, December 16 at 10:30 a.m. CET, Embark Studios launches Cold Snap, the second major update for ARC Raiders, introducing a limited-time winter event packed with new survival challenges, rewards, and fresh ways to raid.
Snowstorms now sweep across multiple locations, transforming familiar maps into frozen danger zones. Reduced visibility, frozen lakes, and brutal cold turn every expedition into a test of endurance. Raiders who linger outdoors risk frostbite, a creeping hazard that drains health over time, making shelter, smart loadouts, and careful extraction planning more important than ever. Expect a striking visual overhaul across Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and The Blue Gate as frost and snow take hold.
Cold Snap also expands progression with seasonal events. Flickering Flames challenges players to survive the storm and earn rewards across 25 levels, while the Candleberry Banquet Project encourages scavenging unique winter items to unlock cosmetics, Raider Tokens, and Merits.
A major highlight is the introduction of the second Raider Deck, included free for all players. The Goalie Raider Deck launches December 26, featuring new items, feats, and a hockey-inspired outfit and tool.
Finally, the Expedition Project Raider offers an optional seasonal reset, letting players begin a new journey with exclusive carry-over rewards.
Cold Snap runs until January 13, 2026, and is free for all ARC Raiders players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
