00:13 – It was super quick and easy to work with Zara. I asked her [to collaborate] through DMs! But of course I’ve been in the know about her since I was younger! I used to dance to ‘Lush Life’ back when I was a teen, such a bop. When I sent [the beat] off to Zara for the remix, she sent it back so quickly and it was such an amazing verse. We had no notes to send back. – PinkPantheress
00:37 – I’d been so lucky to work on a few vids for both Pink and Zara this cycle. Aesthetically, Pink and Zara have super concentrated and clear visual identities, which are completely different to one another. So pretty immediately I couldn’t see it being anything but a battle of gift shops – where the two respective worlds could shine separately and then merge. – Charlotte Rutherford
00:59 – I’m so pleased with how the video is being received, I feel like queer folk have a true talent for media analysis. Whether it’s spotting an Easter egg, or simply acknowledging and valuing the effort that goes into an artist’s building. The LGBTQ+ community is so willing to go on a journey with an artist and I find that curiosity so admirable. – PinkPantheress
01:22 – This set was so flipping fun, honestly it was probably one of my favorite sets I’ve ever been on. It felt like a true culmination of what we’ve been building with this mixtape and the two worlds collide in such an integrated manner was really gratifying. – PinkPantheress
01:43 – Our male dancers were holding me up so high off the ground it was lowkey jarring. I had to stay really still while up there, and being that high off the ground while being held up by hands is a bit nerve racking. – PinkPantheress
02:00 – I love Zara’s pragmatic disposition, she always has a positive outlook on situations, She’s able to introduce perspective into her experiences and it shows through her music. It’s honestly impressive how she’s able to make a song about heartbreak move you to dance. – PinkPantheress
02:17 – Zara came out and learned a bit of choreo with the boys in about 10 minutes and did that crazy leg lift and everyone gasped. It was just the best seeing the girls perform together. Their personalities really shined through and everyone was grinning ear to ear watching. – Charlotte Rutherford
02:38 – I saw fans posting the Candace and Vanessa “Busted” clip from ‘Phineas and Ferb’ (my favourite cartoon!) under the song once it came out. And wanted to nod this in some of the graphics. – Charlotte Rutherford
02:57 – It was so crazy when we switched styles, it kinda felt like being in a freaky cartoon or ‘Freaky Friday’ or something. I was so excited to see us swap for those joint sequences. – PinkPantheress
