Get ready for a Texas-sized comedy reunion. Apple TV has announced that “Brothers,” its new comedy series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, will premiere globally on September 23, 2026.
The eight-episode series kicks off with a two-episode debut, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through November 4.
In “Brothers,” McConaughey and Harrelson play fictionalized versions of themselves whose decades-long friendship takes an unexpected turn when a family secret suggests they might actually be brothers. What starts as a post-wedding retreat at McConaughey’s Austin ranch quickly spirals into chaos, complete with family drama, identity crises and a possible run for Texas governor.
Created by acclaimed showrunner Lee Eisenberg, the series blends heartfelt moments with plenty of laughs as it explores friendship, family, fame and the blurry line between truth and legend.
The ensemble cast includes Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe and Holland Taylor, who plays Matthew’s mother, Ma Mac — the accidental keeper of the secret that sets everything in motion.
If the chemistry between McConaughey and Harrelson off-screen is any indication, “Brothers” could be one of the most entertaining comedy premieres of the fall.
