The Slow Horses are back—and this time, they’re on the run.
Apple TV has unveiled the first trailer for season six of its Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning espionage drama Slow Horses, with Academy Award winner Sir Gary Oldman returning as the brilliantly irritable Jackson Lamb. The new six-episode season premieres globally on September 16, 2026, with new episodes arriving weekly through October 21.
Based on Mick Herron’s novels Joe Country and Slough House, season six throws the misfit MI5 agents of Slough House into a dangerous game of retaliation and revenge after Diana Taverner sets events in motion. In other words: expect plenty of intrigue, dark humor and things going spectacularly wrong.
Fan favorite Olivia Cooke also returns as Sidonie “Sid” Baker, joining a stacked ensemble that includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Jonathan Pryce, Hugo Weaving and new cast member Lenny Rush.
The series has become one of television’s most acclaimed spy dramas, with all five seasons earning Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes. Season five also landed nine Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, along with acting nods for Oldman and Lowden.
Produced by See-Saw Films for Apple TV, season six is adapted by co-executive producer Gaby Chiappe, with Adam Randall back in the director’s chair.
The countdown to another gloriously chaotic mission at Slough House begins September 16.
