Mob Entertainment is taking players back to the terrifying halls of Playtime Co. with Escape From Playtime, a new 1–4 player online co-op survival horror game set in the Poppy Playtime universe.

This time, you’re not playing as a human. You’re one of the unsettlingly cheerful Smiling Critters, venturing deep into the abandoned factory to gather resources for a mysterious building project. The promise? A way out—and a new home for toys willing to prove their loyalty.

There’s just one problem: something is hunting you.

Players will explore classrooms, warehouses, testing labs, and shadowy corridors while scavenging supplies, solving puzzles, uncovering clues, and deciding whether to stick together or split up. The factory itself won’t stay predictable, either. Procedurally generated layouts mean each run can bring a different path through Playtime Co.

And then there’s the Voice.

An ominous presence guides players through their missions, but its true intentions are anyone’s guess. Proximity voice chat adds another layer of danger, making teamwork essential—and a careless whisper potentially disastrous.

“Playtime Co. is this huge, awful place with more hiding inside of it than anyone has seen,” said Brandon James, Game Director at Mob Entertainment.

The game will also feature Mini Mode, letting players crawl, jump, and climb through iconic locations from the perspective of a Smiling Critter—quite literally giving players a smaller view of the nightmare.

Escape From Playtime

Early Access With Room to Grow

Escape From Playtime is being designed for Early Access, launching with all eight Smiling Critters, a starter zone, and a core lineup of enemies. Mob Entertainment plans to expand the experience with new zones, Critters, features, and improvements shaped by player feedback.

It may look cute on the surface, but Escape From Playtime is clearly aiming to make teamwork just as terrifying as going it alone. After all, when the factory starts closing in, having three friends beside you might be comforting—or just give the monsters more targets.
