Need a job? Just be careful what you sign up for.
Netflix has announced an October 30 premiere date for Dead-End Job, a new mystery-horror-fantasy series that turns the everyday grind into a literal fight for survival.
The story follows Hyeok-jun (Lee Jae-wook), a debt-ridden young man desperate for cash. When he spots a mysterious flyer promising an unusually high-paying part-time job, he finds himself at the equally mysterious Spider Staffing Agency. The pay? 50 times the minimum hourly wage. The catch? Never talk about what happens on the job.
Sounds suspicious already.
Hyeok-jun is sent to what appears to be an ordinary convenience store, only to discover that his new workplace is anything but normal. Each shift brings another bizarre and potentially deadly ordeal, making that massive paycheck look a little less appealing.
The series comes from director Kim Da-min, who previously wrote Netflix’s A Killer Paradox, with D.P. and Weak Hero Class 2 creator Han Jun-hee overseeing the overall creative development.
Lee Jae-wook leads a cast that includes Ko Min-si, Kim Min-ha and Lee Hee-jun.
Netflix has also released the first teaser trailer and poster, offering a glimpse at the strange world waiting behind the counter.
Clock in. Keep quiet. Try to survive.
Dead-End Job premieres October 30, only on Netflix.
