New York City has a new nightmare, and this time, it’s hiding in Central Park.
The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park is available now, delivering the game’s biggest expansion since Warlords of New York. For the first time in franchise history, players can explore the Upper West Side and Central Park in a dark new adventure that blends familiar Division combat with a healthy dose of horror.
The story revolves around a mysterious threat lurking inside the park. As fear and rumors spread through the surrounding neighborhood, people are disappearing, gruesome deaths are mounting, and whispers of a new virus variant are making an already desperate situation worse. Your mission? Separate fact from fiction, rescue your target, and uncover what’s really happening.
Welcome to a Different Kind of Division Experience
Echoes of Central Park takes a darker storytelling approach, drawing inspiration from the horror genre. The narrative unfolds like a flashback, guided by a narrator recounting her version of events. It’s a story about paranoia, misinformation, and how fear can take on a life of its own.
The expansion also introduces three new companions who can join you in battle: Brayleigh Callahan, a skilled sniper; Elwood Franklin, a protector; and Morse Feeney, a veteran Division agent with a mysterious past. Earn their trust, uncover their stories, and choose one to fight alongside you.
Explore New York’s Upper West Side and Central Park
The new adventure begins in the Upper West Side, featuring recognizable locations including the Natural History Museum and landmarks stretching from Lincoln Square to the Dakota District. Eventually, you’ll venture into Central Park, now transformed from an iconic city landmark into a dangerous landscape filled with decay, hostile enemies, and unanswered questions.
But don’t expect a leisurely stroll. Central Park introduces a challenging survival experience where GPS assistance disappears and enemies hunt you through the environment. As you learn more about the threat and collect better equipment, subsequent runs become opportunities to turn the tables.
Your performance matters, too. The outcome of enemy encounters can influence what happens next, affecting your advantages and rewards. Combined with different companion abilities, the endgame offers plenty of reasons to return.

New Skills, Gear, and Rewards
Players can look forward to six new skill variants, including Corrosive Trap and The Gas Bomber, along with the new Ratel Exotic Weapon and an additional Gear Set.
The Echoes of Central Park Deluxe Edition also includes companion-inspired outfits and a skin for the new exotic weapon.
The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. It’s also available through Ubisoft+.
If you’ve been looking for a reason to return to The Division 2, this darker trip through New York might be just the ticket.
