A major crossover is about to hit The First Descendant, and it’s bringing serious anime energy with it. NEXON has confirmed that on June 18, players will step into a full collaboration with the legendary Neon Genesis Evangelion—alongside a packed update that also kicks off the game’s second-anniversary celebrations.

The highlight is unmistakable: themed cosmetics inspired by iconic EVANGELION pilots. Players can gear up with outfits, hairstyles, and stylized makeup modeled after Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, and Mari Makinami Illustrious. Expect a full fashion drop too—emotes, accessories, weapon skins, pins, and name cards all woven into the crossover aesthetic.

Evangelion Comes to The First Descendant in Massive June 18 Collaboration Update

The event runs for six weeks (June 18 to July 30) and leans into structured progression. Players can unlock exclusive rewards just by playing: logging in, clearing missions, defeating bosses like Wall Crasher, and pushing through operation zones.

But this update isn’t just a collaboration. It’s a full content refresh. A new Axion Plains dungeon introduces shifting combat routes and a boss known as “The Administrator,” while a fresh Ultimate Weapon, Shackles of Mortality, adds spreading damage effects built for crowd control chaos.

Balance changes are also in the spotlight, with Bunny receiving a targeted rework focused on skill synergy and faster, more fluid combat movement.

Looking ahead, July 1 brings Descendant Fest 2026, a second-anniversary showcase promising roadmap reveals, special events, and a new story trailer.

In short: this is more than a crossover—it’s a summer content surge designed to keep players logging in, grinding, and styling out in full EVANGELION flair.
