The Evil Dead franchise has never been known for subtlety, and Evil Dead Burn looks ready to continue that bloody tradition with chainsaws roaring, bodies twisting, and Deadites screaming through another nightmare soaked in chaos. Directed by Sébastien Vaniček and produced by horror legend Sam Raimi, the upcoming film appears determined to push the franchise into darker, nastier territory while keeping the wicked energy fans expect.
Instead of revisiting familiar characters, Evil Dead Burn introduces a standalone story centered on grief, isolation, and family tension. After losing her husband, a woman retreats to a secluded home owned by her in-laws, hoping to recover in peace. Naturally, peace never lasts long in the Evil Dead universe. Possession spreads quickly, turning a tense gathering into a brutal fight for survival as loved ones become horrifying Deadites.
Early trailers describe the movie as a “family reunion from hell,” and the footage backs up that promise with disturbing imagery and relentless intensity. The marketing also claims this installment could become the franchise’s “most savage and terrifying ride to date,” signaling a movie that embraces fear as much as gore.

The cast reportedly includes Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, Erroll Shand, Maude Davey, and George Pullar. Combined with Vaniček’s sharp horror sensibilities and Raimi’s creative influence, the project feels positioned to honor the original films without copying them directly.
With a U.S. theatrical release date of July 10, 2026, Evil Dead Burn is primed to be one of horror’s most anticipated summer releases.
