The Go-Go’s cofounder and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jane Wiedlin is hitting the road to celebrate her upcoming autobiography, TMI: Memoirs of a Go-Go. The first round of book signing events has been announced, with additional dates expected soon.

Arriving November 10 through Hachette Book Group’s Da Capo Press, the memoir promises a candid look at Wiedlin’s life, music career, and journey through the colorful worlds of glam rock, punk, and pop.

Wiedlin’s story is closely tied to the rise of The Go-Go’s, the groundbreaking all-female band that helped reshape the pop-rock landscape. Formed in 1978, the group went from playing the West Coast punk scene to topping the Billboard charts with their landmark 1981 album, Beauty and the Beat.

Following the band’s initial breakup in 1985, Wiedlin launched a solo career, releasing five albums before reuniting with her bandmates in the 1990s. The Go-Go’s have remained a fixture ever since.

Beyond music, TMI promises plenty of personal stories from an artist who has never been afraid to speak her mind. Wiedlin remains active as an advocate for animal welfare, women’s rights, and political causes.

There’s more music on the horizon, too. Wiedlin is preparing to release ¡I PROTEST!, an album of protest song covers produced by the artist herself.

For Go-Go’s fans and anyone interested in the wild ride of the early punk and new wave scenes, TMI: Memoirs of a Go-Go looks like a book worth checking out.
