VALORANT players are getting a fresh battleground this week as Riot Games unveils Summit, a brand-new map launching on June 24 alongside Season 2026 // Act 4.

Set high in the mountains of China at a Radiant training academy, Summit blends serene meditation gardens with intense tactical combat. The two-site, three-lane map introduces a unique twist: droppable walls located at A Site, B Site, and Mid. Once activated, these walls permanently alter sightlines and rotation routes for the rest of the round, forcing teams to adapt on the fly.

Summit also carries a bit of VALORANT lore. The academy was once a Radiant monastery where Sage studied before joining the Protocol.

To help players learn the map, Summit will enter Competitive play immediately at launch, with a special two-week bonus that reduces RR losses by 50% while still granting full RR gains for wins. A dedicated Summit Only Swiftplay queue will also be available for the first seven days.

Act 4 isn’t stopping there. Riot is introducing Retake, a fast-paced 3v3 mode that drops players directly into post-plant scenarios. One team defends the planted Spike while the other fights to retake and defuse, with sides swapping every round and randomized loadouts keeping matches fresh.

On the cosmetic front, the new Blackspyre Collection brings a mix of sci-fi and mystical aesthetics to the Phantom, Sheriff, Spectre, Ares, and the new Divide melee weapon. Players can also unlock fresh Battlepass rewards, including the Sky Reaper Ghost, Heal Up Squad Card, and Blep Spray.

Season 2026 // Act 4 goes live on June 24, giving players plenty of new ways to test their skills, whether they’re mastering Summit’s shifting battleground or diving into the chaos of Retake.
