The video for “Maybe That’s Enough For Now” was directed by Brian Powers. “Maybe That’s Enough For Now” (featuring Jay Gonzalez of Drive-By-Truckers on keyboards) is the second single from Scott Whiddon’s sophomore album The Best of Intentions (produced by J. Tom Hnatow and released on Nov 3, 2023).

According to Whiddon, “Much of the story of my record began with a painting called “Smashed Afternoon” by Lori Larusso. I’ve known Lori for years and admire her work deeply; her sharp, colorful images often blend the domestic and the sinister. It’s like Martha Stewart meets the Manson family. I’m honored that Lori let me use the painting for the album cover and music video on this release.”

Scott Whiddon is a writer, teacher, and musician living in Lexington, KY. His debut album In Close Quarters With the Enemy was released in 2017.

Whiddon performs with the indie rock band Letters of Acceptance and has developed film scores for Richard Knox Robinson, Brian Frye and Katrina Dixon. From 2012-2016, he served as music director for the annual Harry Dean Stanton Fest. He’s also shared stages with artists ranging from Jerry Joseph to Elf Power to Lucy Dacus and has played guitar for Palisades, The Wags, The Binders, and the Lexington Conservatory Theater’s Summerfest.
