Nashville-based musician Scott Collins assumes dual roles within the music scene, serving as one half of the esteemed rock duo The Smoking Flowers alongside his spouse, Kim, while also distinguishing himself as the proficient guitarist within the soulful garage ensemble, Justin and The Cosmics, fronted by his brother, Justin. However, following an extensive tenure contributing to the dynamic of two of Nashville’s renowned musical entities, Collins has embarked on a highly anticipated solo endeavor, marking a significant milestone in his artistic journey.
Listen to his first single, “Killer Crush,” recalling proto-punk of Suicide, the stoned and dethroned grandeur of The Jesus and Mary Chain, and the confidant swagger of The Strokes.
His debut solo release Purple Pain will be available on vinyl, CD, and for digital download on Friday, May 17, right in time for the record release show at The 5 Spot in Nashville on Saturday, May 18.
