London Grammar have shared their brand new track “Kind Of Man,” out now on Ministry of Sound. Kind Of Man is the second track to be unveiled from the band’s highly anticipated fourth studio album The Greatest Love, to be released this September. Last month they made their welcome return with the haunting single “House.”

“Kind Of Man” is a playful take that draws on some of the themes explored by frontwoman Hannah Reid in the British trio’s 2021 album Californian Soil, where she detailed her experiences of misogyny in the music industry. Speaking about the new track Reid said, “’Kind of Man’ is about watching somebody descend into the sort of glamour and slight corruption of Hollywood. The song is obviously about misogyny but it’s about sexism in a tongue-in-cheek way. That’s kind of what I love about the song. I didn’t want it to be melancholic in any way. So, yeah it’s quite an upbeat way of saying that. I like the fact that it’s talking about a pattern of relationship where you could maybe expect a man who might not respect you and who might be the exact kind of man to fall in love with you – and it’s kind of that dichotomy.”

The new track arrives as the band have been confirmed to perform at major UK events including Radio 1’s Big Weekend (May 26), and headlining Latitude Festival and the Glastonbury Park Stage this summer.

The Greatest Love follows the British trio’s critically acclaimed, and UK #1 selling album Californian Soil, which was released in 2021 and earned the band their second BRIT nomination for Best British Group. Arriving over a decade since the trio first entered the industry, the new album is a celebration; the sound of a band laying to rest the past and realizing a newfound sense of freedom.
