Shudder has announced the next chapter in the iconic Creep franchise, and it’s coming with a fresh twist. The Creep Tapes, a brand-new six-part series from the twisted minds of Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice, is set to premiere exclusively on Shudder and AMC+ on Friday, November 15.

Duplass will return as the sinister lead, and fans won’t have to wait long to dive in—the series will kick off with a two-episode premiere, with new episodes rolling out every Friday after that.

So what can we expect from The Creep Tapes? The new series promises to dig even deeper into the dark psyche of our favorite off-the-grid serial killer, a master manipulator who lures unsuspecting videographers with promises of easy cash in exchange for documenting his bizarre life. But as the camera rolls, things get predictably weird, and it’s not long before his victims realize they’re trapped in something way more twisted than a simple gig.

In a statement dripping with that signature eerie vibe, Duplass reflected on the origins of the franchise: “A little over 10 years ago, Patrick Brice and I spent a week together in my cabin with a small digital camera. We emerged with a found footage horror film that was so wildly strange and uncomfortable we assumed no one would see it. To be continuing this unholy legacy in the series format is a true nightmare come true.” Talk about nightmare fuel.

Brace yourselves—The Creep Tapes is ready to unleash more of its disturbing magic, and it’s not going to be pretty. But for those of us who can’t look away, this is exactly what we’ve been waiting for.
