Fresh off announcing their upcoming album A Short History of Decay, NOTHING has revealed an ambitious run of tour dates stretching across North America, Japan, and the UK—culminating in their multi-city Slide Away Festival. North American shows will feature support from Full Body 2, Cryogeyser, and Violent Magic Orchestra, while their Japan dates pair them with Whirr.

Alongside the tour news, the band has released “Purple Strings,” an acoustic-forward track featuring harpist Mary Lattimore. The song reveals a softer, unfiltered side of NOTHING, offering a stark contrast to the industrial-gaze assault of their earlier single “Cannibal World.” Together, the two songs hint at the emotional and sonic breadth of A Short History of Decay, out February 27 via Run For Cover Records.

The album marks a creative renewal for the band, shaped by a strengthened lineup including Doyle Martin, Bobb Bruno, Zachary Jones, and Cam Smith. Frontman Domenic “Nicky” Palermo confronts aging, illness, and memory with raw precision, making this their most expansive work yet.

This year’s Slide Away Festival—held in NYC, Chicago, and Los Angeles—will feature Hum, Chapterhouse, Swirlies, and more, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Tired of Tomorrow with special guests in each city.
