Nintendo fans have a reason to celebrate: KingsIsle Entertainment has announced that its long-running MMO Wizard101is officially launching on Nintendo Switch. For the first time, the magical world of the Spiral will be playable across PC and consoles alike, opening the doors to even more aspiring wizards.
Previously exclusive to PC, Wizard101 expanded to consoles last year, welcoming new players and nostalgic Ravenwood Academy alumni. The Switch release continues that momentum, allowing players to explore whimsical worlds, meet charming characters, and engage in strategic, turn-based card combat—anywhere, anytime.
The Nintendo Switch version will be available for $19.99 USD and includes full access to the first story arc out of the game’s five-arc saga. Additional content can be unlocked using Crowns, the game’s premium currency. While accounts on Switch will share servers with other console players, cross-progression is not currently supported.
In Wizard101, players take on the role of a young student at the Ravenwood School of Magical Arts, battling dark forces threatening the Spiral. Beyond the main story, players can hatch pets, craft gear, garden, fish, decorate castles, and team up with friends for epic challenges.
Wizard101 launches soon on Nintendo Switch and is already available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The Spiral awaits—are you ready to answer the call?
