Backline has launched B-LINE, a 24/7 mental health and crisis support line tailored for the music industry, connecting artists, crew, staff, executives, and their families with trained counselors who understand the unique pressures of music. Available by phone at 1-855-BLINE99 or text at 254-639, B-LINE offers immediate, confidential support day or night.

Since its launch on January 27, B-LINE has already assisted over 80 people, highlighting the urgent need for industry-specific care. Backline co-founder Hilary Gleason reflects, “People reached out not just to look for help, but to say thank you for building something that truly understands our world.”

The launch celebration at Irving Plaza featured speeches from Gleason, Spotify’s Charlie Hellman, and Live Nation’s Maggie Gessner, with performances by Mimi Naja, Steve Earle, Cautious Clay, Joy Oladokun, and Melt, ending with DJ Questlove. A special Hero video premiered, featuring Noah Kahan, Marcus King, Indigo de Souza, and Kaleena Zanders.

Support comes from Spotify, Live Nation, AEG, Adyen, Red Light Management, Noah Kahan/The Busyhead Project, and Wasserman Foundation. B-LINE ensures seamless access to crisis care and long-term support, meeting the industry where it works—on the road, outside 9-to-5 hours, and in moments of acute need.

With B-LINE live, a healthier, more sustainable music industry is now within reach. Learn more at backline.care.
