Electronic artist Tycho has unveiled a new instrumental track, “Forge,” a companion piece to “Boundary Rider,” his recent collaboration with Paul Banks of Interpol.
According to Tycho mastermind Scott Hansen, “Forge” actually began as the original demo for “Boundary Rider.” Hansen first sent the stripped-down version to Banks to gauge interest in adding vocals. After finishing the vocal version, he revisited the demo to craft a standalone instrumental. By pushing Zac Brown’s guitars forward and keeping the spacious feel of the vocal arrangement, Hansen found the track naturally balanced without vocals.
Tycho continues to build momentum following the 2024 release of his sixth album, Infinite Health. The twice Grammy-nominated producer has collaborated with artists such as ODESZA, Maggie Rogers, Little Dragon, Leon Bridges, and Death Cab for Cutie.
After touring extensively in 2025, Tycho’s 2026 schedule includes appearances at CRSSD Festival and Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, plus a special performance with Washed Out at The Caverns this April.
