The fight against the undead just got a whole lot bigger.

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando has launched its free Urban Blight Update, available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The massive content drop expands the co-op zombie shooter with a brand-new mission, deadly enemies, powerful weapons, and plenty of reasons for players to jump back into the action.

Set one year after the original story, Urban Blight sees humanity once again flirting with disaster by trying to weaponize toxic sludge. As expected, things go horribly wrong, and it’s up to the Commandos to prevent another apocalypse.

The update introduces the new Urban Blight PvE mission, along with the game’s first flying enemy, The Hornet, which adds a fresh aerial threat to the battlefield. Players can also take control of two new vehicles—the rugged Forklift and the heavily armed Thrasher APC—while tackling a new Trials system packed with daily, weekly, and seasonal challenges.

Weapon fans have plenty to celebrate too, with six new additions spanning primary, secondary, heavy, and melee categories. New XP rewards and unlockable content round out the package, giving players even more ways to customize their experience.

Alongside the free update, Cosmetic Pack 1 DLC is now available, featuring character skins, weapon cosmetics, vehicle wraps, profile customization options, and an exclusive popcorn charm.

Whether you’re a veteran Commando or a newcomer looking for some over-the-top co-op zombie action, Urban Blight delivers bigger battles, more mayhem, and plenty of reasons to return to the toxic wasteland.
