Ready to take a trip across the cosmos with Marvel’s most unlikely heroes? Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition is out now on Nintendo Switch 2, bringing an optimized version of Eidos-Montréal’s award-winning adventure to Nintendo’s latest console.
Developed in collaboration with Marvel Games, this new edition comes with a handful of exclusive upgrades, including five brand-new outfits inspired by 1980s glam rock. Each of the five Guardians gets a fresh look, and these outfits are exclusive to the Encore Edition.
There are also some welcome technical improvements. Players can choose between Quality mode (1440p at a targeted 30 fps) and Performance mode (1080p at a targeted 40 fps on compatible 120Hz TVs). Handheld play targets 30 fps.
Switch 2-specific controls round out the package, with built-in mouse support for menus and aiming, plus gyroscope controls. You can even tilt your controller to steer the Milano through space or guide Peter Quill during sliding and zero-gravity sequences.
Whether you’re returning for another round with Star-Lord and the crew or experiencing their cosmic adventure for the first time, the Encore Edition offers a fresh reason to jump aboard the Milano.
