Sequel to 2018’s award-winning horror visual novel will terrify Westerners in early 2024

Aksys Games announced today that Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II, the third entry in the highly acclaimed Spirit Hunter series developed by Experience Inc., is coming late February 2024 for PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™ and PC. An exclusive original soundtrack CD of 14 tracks will be available through the North American Aksys Online Store.

Previous games Spirit Hunter: Death Mark and Spirit Hunter: NG garned numerous awards and perfect scores. Of Death Mark, Pure PlayStation said, “[It] is a great visual novel filled with creepy moments and horror around every corner. The combined elements of sound designed to keep you on edge and art that will shock you in both quality and severity act together to create an experience that kept me engaged from beginning to end.” Digitally Downloaded commented,“Spirit Hunter: NG, much as its predecessor, is one of the rare few genuine horror masterpieces. Experience Inc. has the most darkly beautiful visual novel ever created here, and it should not be missed.”

In Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II, Kazuo Yashiki is back in H City to investigate supernatural occurrences at Konoehara Academy. As in previous editions of the game, the developers have drawn on Japanese myths and folklore to create an immersive and nuanced tale of terror. Some old faces return to aid Yashiki in his quest, and a 2D side-scrolling mode offers a new way to explore locations. Be ready, for when a spirit does attack, crucial mistakes mean certain death.
