Fresh off the release of her acclaimed new album Ambiguous Desire, Arlo Parks is leaning further into vulnerability — this time with a little help from Sampha.

The pair have teamed up for the hauntingly intimate video for “Senses,” a soulful meditation on toxic relationships, emotional exhaustion, and the quiet ache that lingers after love turns destructive. Co-directed by Joel Barney and Ali Raymond, the stripped-back visual keeps things minimal, letting the chemistry between Parks and Sampha do the heavy lifting. And it works.

Sampha’s unmistakable voice slips effortlessly into Parks’ world, adding gravity and warmth to an already emotionally rich track. There’s no flashy narrative here — just two artists fully inhabiting the mood, trusting the song’s emotional honesty to land. It does.

“Senses” appears on Ambiguous Desire, Parks’ latest 12-track project and arguably her most confident work yet. Built alongside an all-star creative team including Baird, Paul Epworth, Buddy Ross, Andrew Sarlo, and Rob Bisel, the album pushes Parks into a brighter, more instinctive sonic space while holding onto the poetic intimacy that made her one of the UK’s most compelling voices.

Critics have been all in. Rolling Stone called it her most versatile album yet, while Pitchfork praised the record as Parks “at her best.” Between standout singles like “Get Go,” “Heaven,” and “2SIDED,” plus recent appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and NTS Radio, it’s clear Parks is entering a new era — one that feels both expansive and deeply personal.

For an artist who’s already collected Grammy nominations, a Mercury Prize, and BRIT Award recognition before turning 30, “Senses” feels less like a victory lap and more like another carefully crafted evolution. Quiet, raw, and beautifully understated — exactly the lane Arlo Parks continues to make her own.
