Widemouth have released their debut LP, No Gasoline, arriving May 29 via Urban Scandal Records. Alongside the news, the band unveiled the record’s evocative title track, a melancholic meditation on early adulthood and emotional avoidance that swells into haunting group vocals.

Recorded live in a cozy Indiana barn, No Gasoline captures the band’s chemistry and deep-rooted friendship. Songwriters Mak Carnahan and Jamie Eder lead the project, balancing grounded emotional clarity with fearless experimentation, supported by drummer Lily Mitchell and bassist Pat Pilch.

The album builds on momentum from their 2024 EP Well, sharpening their sound while preserving intimacy. Across thirteen tracks, themes of memory, grief, love, and community intertwine, reflecting both personal histories and shared experiences.

Ultimately, No Gasoline feels like a document of connection, where vulnerability becomes collective strength. With its warm textures and thoughtful songwriting, Widemouth emerges as a compelling new voice in Midwestern indie rock, signaling a promising future ahead.

The band will celebrate with a hometown performance at The Hideout, closing a recent run of tour dates and inviting listeners into their evolving sonic world firsthand this spring season in Chicago.
