Techland is shaking up Dying Light 2: Stay Human with the launch of The Breach, a new content initiative that puts community creativity front and center.
Available now as part of the free Patch 1.28 update, The Breach introduces a steady stream of new experiences built from a mix of developer-supported creations and standout community-made content. The goal? Keep the zombie-infested world feeling fresh long after the credits roll.
The first chapter, Survival Archives, sees fan-favorite inventors Tolga and Fatin accidentally tear open reality itself, unleashing a collection of hand-picked maps and experimental gameplay twists. Players can expect everything from third-person parkour and low-gravity challenges to hardcore survival scenarios and wild modifiers that push the game beyond its traditional boundaries.

Techland says progression won’t be split between modes. XP earned in The Breach carries over to the main game, while each new chapter will introduce fresh rewards, weapons, and gear to unlock.
Patch 1.28 also brings major improvements to the core experience, including a revamped opening section, early-game balancing tweaks, visual upgrades, and a host of community-requested fixes.
Built around three pillars—curated by Techland, powered by fans, and always offering something new—The Breach aims to turn Dying Light 2 into a living platform for community-driven adventures.
The Breach and Patch 1.28 are available now across all platforms as a free update for all Dying Light 2: Stay Human owners.
