The legendary The Rolling Stones are set to return with their new studio album Foreign Tongues, arriving July 10 through Capitol Records. The 14-track release follows the success of Hackney Diamonds, the Grammy-winning record that topped charts around the world. Fans are already buzzing about the album’s energetic lead single In The Stars, which debuted digitally on May 5 alongside the opening track “Rough and Twisted.”
Recorded in less than a month at Metropolis Studios in West London, the album reunites Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt. The project also features appearances from Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, Steve Winwood, and Chad Smith.
Adding emotional weight to the release, the album includes one of the final recordings from late drummer Charlie Watts, making Foreign Tongues one of the band’s most anticipated albums in years.
Ahead of the official announcement, the band sparked speculation by quietly releasing “Rough and Twisted” on a limited white-label vinyl under the name The Cockroaches. The mysterious release quickly became a collector favorite among longtime fans. The album artwork was created by acclaimed American artist Nathaniel Mary Quinn, adding another distinctive creative element to the project this summer worldwide.
