Legendary Chicago artists and longtime collaborators Mavis Staples + Jeff Tweedy closed out The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s week of live episodes following the Democratic National Convention from the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago with a performance of “Freedom Highway”, famously released by The Staple Singers on the album of the same name in 1965.
