Minneapolis indie shoegaze band she’s green have released “empty house,” the latest preview from their upcoming EP, swallowtail, arriving July 10, 2026, through Photo Finish Records. The single arrives alongside a self-directed official music video that explores life’s constant evolution, highlighting the emotional movement of memory, identity, and personal growth.

Built around lo fi atmospheric guitar riffs and velvety percussion, “empty house” creates a dreamy backdrop for Zofia Smith’s expressive vocals. The track balances intimacy and reflection, giving listeners an immersive journey through self discovery and change.

Smith explains that “empty house” serves as a metaphor for the beauty of impermanence. She describes the body as an empty house that continuously changes over time, welcoming and losing people, memories, and pieces of ourselves.

The release follows previous singles “paper thin” and “mettle,” both of which introduced swallowtail’s lush sonic direction. Together, the songs showcase she’s green’s ability to combine reverb drenched guitars, emotional storytelling, and expansive textures into captivating modern shoegaze.

Fans of atmospheric alternative music can expect swallowtail to further establish the Minneapolis group as one of indie rock’s most promising emerging acts.
