Xbox players have a surprisingly varied lineup landing this week, ranging from massive open-world racers to cozy narrative adventures and classic remasters.

Here’s a breakdown of the new noteable Xbox games arriving between May 19 and May 22.

Forza Horizon 6

May 19 – The biggest release of the week is easily Forza Horizon 6, the next entry in Xbox’s flagship open-world racing franchise. This time, the festival heads to Japan, giving players sprawling highways, neon-lit city streets, mountain passes, and countryside roads to explore.

As expected from the series, the focus is on freedom: cruise solo, race online, customize cars, and build out an enormous garage filled with real-world vehicles. The combination of arcade-style driving and a detailed open world has made the franchise one of Xbox’s most reliable hits.

  • Genre: Racing / Open-world driving
  • Game Pass: Yes, day-one launch

Darksiders

May 19 – The original Darksiders returns in its remastered “Warmastered” form, bringing back the action-adventure cult favorite with upgraded visuals and performance improvements.

Players once again step into the role of War, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, battling through a ruined Earth filled with demons, angels, and massive bosses. The game blends hack-and-slash combat with Zelda-style dungeons and exploration.

Genre: Action-adventure / Hack-and-slash

Thick as Thieves

May 20 – Another mystery title on this week’s schedule is Thick as Thieves. While trustworthy gameplay details haven’t surfaced yet, the name suggests a possible stealth or heist-inspired experience — though that hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Atomic Owl

May 20 – A fast-paced roguelite action-platformer where players control an owl shinobi battling through pixel-art stages with melee combat, platforming, and upgrade-based progression. The game mixes retro visuals, synthwave style, and hack-and-slash gameplay, with an optional “No Roguelite” mode for a more traditional experience.

  • Genre: Roguelite action-platformer / Hack-and-slash

Beastro

May 21Beastro launches directly into Game Pass this week. While official information remains limited, the title appears positioned as one of the service’s newer day-one additions.

  • Game Pass: Yes

Starbites

May 21 – Starbites joins the week’s release calendar, although dependable gameplay details and genre information are still unavailable.

Luna Abyss

May 21 – One of the more visually striking titles this week is Luna Abyss, a dark sci-fi action game built around fast movement, shooting, and mysterious worldbuilding.

The game mixes first-person combat with atmospheric exploration, placing players inside a strange futuristic abyss filled with danger and secrets. It’s also expected to launch into Game Pass.

  • Genre: Sci-fi action / First-person shooter
  • Game Pass: Yes

Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks

May 21Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks brings chaotic Ork warfare to Xbox Series X|S later this year with explosive multiplayer vehicle combat and high-speed racing mayhem. Players will pilot heavily armed buggies, tanks, and Deffkoptas across destructive battlefields where boosting, ramming, and blasting opponents apart is all part of the fun. With full cross-play support and the over-the-top energy of the Warhammer 40K universe, this is shaping up to be a loud, fast, and gloriously chaotic multiplayer experience.

Features: Cross-play multiplayer, Ork vehicle combat, online battles

Genre: Vehicular combat / Multiplayer action

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
