This week’s horror comic releases arrive just after Halloween, but the nightmares aren’t going anywhere. For Wednesday, November 4, we’re looking for the strongest supernatural stories, monster comics, psychological thrillers, and independent horror releases worth adding to your pull list.

Halloween: The Game Comic #1

Publisher: Panick Entertainment
Release Date: November 4, 2026
Writers: Hans Rodionoff and Adam F. Goldbe
Artists: Zach Howard, Nelson Daniel, Jonathan Wayshak, Eamon Winkle and Sean O’Toole

Halloween Game #1On the night before Halloween in 1978, Michael Myers escapes from Smith’s Grove Sanitarium, leaving a trail of bodies behind him. As Dr. Samuel Loomis realizes that the evil he has spent years studying is finally loose, Myers begins his relentless journey back to Haddonfield.

Based on the continuity of John Carpenter’s original Halloween film and the more recent IllFonic video game, this five-issue miniseries explores Michael’s brutal journey home and the desperate attempts of Loomis to stop him.

Why Horror Fans Should Read It: Michael Myers remains one of horror’s most recognizable slasher villains, and this series offers another opportunity to explore the events surrounding his escape and return to Haddonfield. The connection to both the original film and the video game makes it particularly interesting for longtime franchise fans. Multiple artists and variant covers also give collectors plenty to investigate.

Horror Type: Slasher / Psychological Horror

Archie in Hell #1

Publisher: Oni Press
Release Date: November 4, 2026
Writer: Patrick Horvath
Artist: Tyler Crook

Archie in Hell #1Riverdale has always had its secrets, but its latest revelation is considerably darker than anything Archie Andrews could have imagined. An ancient cult has infiltrated the town, spending generations preparing a ritual involving human sacrifice to bring a demon lord into the mortal world.

Their final target is Archie, the hometown football champion and all-around good guy. Unfortunately for the cult, Riverdale has another secret: actual witches live among its residents. As the cult and coven collide, Archie’s fate takes a terrifying turn, sending him toward something far worse than an ordinary trip to Hell.

Why Horror Fans Should Read It: The contrast between the familiar, wholesome world of Archie Comics and an outright demonic nightmare makes this one of the week’s most intriguing releases. Patrick Horvath, known for his unsettling work on Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, brings a darker sensibility to Riverdale, while Tyler Crook’s atmospheric artwork is an excellent fit for supernatural horror. Fans of Afterlife with Archie should pay particular attention.

Horror Type: Occult / Supernatural / Demonic Horror

Satanic Panic #1

Publisher: Mad Cave Studios
Release Date: November 4, 2026
Writer: Matt Miner
Artist: Clayton McCormack

Satanic Panic #1Welcome to a sleepy American town in the 1980s, where heavy metal records, Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, and teenage outsiders are viewed with suspicion. As a masked killer begins terrorizing the community, fear quickly turns into paranoia, and the town’s young misfits become the prime suspects.

Naz, Sal, and Terry are D&D enthusiasts and Ozzy Osbourne fans who find themselves caught in the middle of a growing murder investigation. With bodies piling up and the community increasingly convinced that something satanic is happening, the three friends must clear their names and uncover the real killer before they become the next victims.

Why Horror Fans Should Read It: Satanic Panic has all the ingredients of a classic 1980s slasher: a masked murderer, a suspicious small town, misunderstood teenagers, and a community ready to blame anything it doesn’t understand. The addition of heavy metal and tabletop gaming gives the story a strong nostalgic identity while exploring the real-world paranoia surrounding the Satanic Panic era. This is an especially appealing choice for fans of retro horror movies.

Horror Type: Slasher / Psychological Horror
