Shygirl is giving fans one last preview of her upcoming album Swallow! with the release of “Eternal,” a dreamy, atmospheric closing track that arrives just ahead of the album’s release this Friday via Because Music.
Taking a more ethereal approach to her vocals, “Eternal” finds Shygirl exploring love, truth and the passage of time with an almost otherworldly delivery. Its closing lyrics, “And in these whispers love will go on forever, And the truth is only momentary,” set a reflective tone and offer a fitting conclusion to the record.
Describing Swallow! as a reintroduction, Shygirl brings together the electronic foundations of her earlier work with a more expansive indie songwriting approach.
Written during a pivotal period following her debut album Nymph and the experience of falling in love, the new record explores romance, transformation and the possibilities of what comes next. Producers Karma Kid and Casey MQ help balance its maximalist electronic moments with more delicate, intimate arrangements.
“Eternal” follows a run of singles accompanied by cinematic music videos, including “Alyse,” “Lucky[Hymn]” and “Mantra,” which further develop the interconnected world surrounding the album’s characters.
The new album will also be supported by a major world tour beginning in Spring 2027. The run includes dates across Europe and North America, with stops in Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, Glasgow, Manchester, Salt Lake City, Austin, Atlanta, Toronto and New York City.
The tour will conclude with a special homecoming performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 18, 2027.
With Swallow!, Shygirl isn’t leaving her electronic roots behind. Instead, she’s finding new ways to build on them, delivering a record shaped by romance, experimentation and a willingness to embrace the unknown.
