Fans are already making a mess of the galaxy in The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.

Developer Owlcat Games has revealed fresh stats from the game’s ongoing beta, and the numbers paint a pretty chaotic picture. Since the beta launched on April 22, more than 21,000 players have visited Pinkwater Station, collectively logging an estimated 2.5 years of playtime. Of that, 125 days were spent drifting through open space — and apparently shooting absolutely everything in sight.

Players fired more than 60 million bullets during the beta, landing roughly 2.8 million headshots and leaving over 380,000 bodies floating in the void. The most popular specialization? Officer, which was picked by more than 60% of players over the hacker class.

But the beta hasn’t just been about stacking body counts. Owlcat says community feedback has already sparked a wave of planned improvements. Players praised the game’s atmosphere, third-person shooter combat, and cinematic space battles, though some criticism landed squarely on the voice performances for the male protagonist and his brother. The studio says it’s now looking to recast both roles.

Other planned updates include tweaks to combat feel, animations, tone, and overall polish as the team continues refining the experience ahead of launch.

Players eager to jump in can still access the beta by purchasing the Miller’s Pack or Collector’s Edition, with the beta remaining live until release.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is headed to PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, alongside releases for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
