Ben Folds, a renowned music artist with Emmy nominations and multi-platinum album sales to his credit, announces the eagerly anticipated return of his acclaimed “Paper Airplane Request Tour,” slated to kick off solo performances across the United States on May 30, 2024.
Originating as an encore song request tradition during past tours, Folds is reintroducing the interactive element where audience members can submit their song preferences by launching paper airplanes. This unique form of engagement, embraced by fans with enthusiasm during previous tours, serves as a cherished hallmark of Folds’ live shows, fostering a special connection between the artist and his audience.
Reflecting on the upcoming tour, Folds expressed his anticipation, remarking on the overwhelming response from fans who eagerly participated in the paper airplane ritual. While preparing for the tour, Folds has remained active in the studio, focusing on the creation of his first holiday album scheduled for release later this year.
